Description
The first day begins with reception at Jaén Airport and transfer to the lodge, where you will be welcomed with a welcome lunch and have the afternoon free to relax by the pool or contemplate the Andean landscape from the panoramic terraces; dinner is included.
The second day is dedicated to exploring the majestic Gocta Waterfall: after a delicious breakfast, you will head to the town of Cocachimba, from where you will start a hike of approximately two and a half hours to the base of the 771-meter-high waterfall, with the option to do the route on horseback; after enjoying its waters and natural surroundings, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by free time and dinner at the hotel.
The third day begins with a trip to Chachapoyas and then to Nuevo Tingo, passing through the Macro viewpoint, to take the cable car that will take you to the imposing Kuélap Fortress, a pre-Inca citadel known as the "Machu Picchu of the North"; after a guided tour of its structures, towers and circular enclosures, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
The fourth day offers two options for cultural exploration: the first option includes a visit to the enigmatic Revash Mausoleums, followed by a tour of the Leymebamba Museum, where more than 200 mummies and a priceless collection of Chachapoyas artifacts are preserved; the second option takes you to the Karajía Sarcophagi, funerary sculptures on cliffs, and to the Quiocta Caves, caves with stalactites, stalagmites and archaeological remains that you will explore on a guided visit; in both cases, you will enjoy a local lunch and return to the lodge to dine and rest.
Finally, on the fifth day, after breakfast, the return transfer to Jaén Airport will be made, concluding a unique experience that combines adventure, history, archaeology and nature in a single unforgettable trip through the heart of the Peruvian Andes.
