Route: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Laguna Humantay
🚐 Pickup and transfer: At 8:00 a.m. we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we will start the journey to the town of Mollepata, located in the province of Anta. During the trip, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Andean landscape and small traditional villages.
🥾 Start of the hike – Challacancha to Soraypampa: In Mollepata we begin our hike. We will visit Challacancha, the starting point of the trek. From here we will make a hike of approximately 3 hours to reach the Soraypampa camp (3,900 m a.s.l.), located in a beautiful valley surrounded by imposing mountains.
🍽️ Lunch and rest in Soraypampa: Once in Soraypampa, we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our local chef, followed by a brief time to rest, acclimate, and admire the natural surroundings.
🏔️ Hike to Laguna Humantay (4,200 m a.s.l.): After resting, we begin a hike of approximately 1.5 hours to the impressive Laguna Humantay, located at the foot of the majestic Nevado Humantay. There you will have time to explore, take photos, and listen to your guide's explanation about the natural and spiritual importance of this sacred lagoon.
🍵 Return to camp and "tea time": We return to the camp to enjoy a snack with hot tea and prepare for spending the night under the stars.
