This tour immerses you in the Peruvian Amazon from your arrival in Puerto Maldonado. Over three days, you will explore the Tambopata National Reserve, navigating rivers and lakes, including the famous Lago Sandoval, home to giant otters, monkeys, sloths, and exotic birds 🦜.
On your first day, after transfer to the lodge, you will take an introductory walk to get to know the jungle and its biodiversity. The second day you will visit the famous "El Chuncho" macaw clay lick, where hundreds of birds gather to eat clay, offering an unforgettable natural spectacle. You will also be able to observe capybaras, tapirs, and jaguars in their habitat.

Day 01: Puerto Maldonado – Lodge Start
Reception and transfer: Arrival at the airport or bus station and transfer to the office for the welcome briefing.
Transport to lodge: 4x4 van ride to the Tambopata River bank, followed by boat navigation to the lodge.
Check-in and meal: Reception at the lodge, breakfast or lunch depending on arrival time.
Introductory walk: Stroll along nearby trails to observe amphibians, mammals, reptiles and insects.
Day 02: El Chuncho – Bird Watching Birds
Early departure: 4:30 a.m., boat navigation towards the "El Chuncho" macaw clay lick.
Wildlife sighting: During the journey, observe capybaras, tapirs and jaguars.
Macaw clay lick: Spectacle of hundreds of macaws and parrots feeding on clay.
Return to lodge and lunch: After the activity, return to the lodge and rest.
