🚌 DAY 1: Cusco - Km 82 - Wayllabamba (4:00 AM) Start
Early pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM. Transfer to Km 82 (Piscacucho - 2,700 m a.s.l.), the official starting point of the Inca Trail. Registration and crossing of the Urubamba River. Hike to Patallacta (Llactapata - 2,840 m) with a view of the snowy La Veronica. We continue to Wayllabamba (3,000 m) - the first campsite. Camp and dinner under the stars.
🏔️ DAY 2: Ascent to the Highest Pass - Warmiwañusca Challenge
Most challenging day: ascent to the Warmiwañusca pass "Dead Woman's Pass" (4,215 m a.s.l.) - the highest point of the Inca Trail. Spectacular panoramic view of the Andean valleys. Descent to Pacaymayu through high mountain landscapes. The air is thinner, we advance calmly. Second campsite in a protected area.
🏛️ DAY 3: Impressive Archaeological Sites Archaeology
We visit Runkurakay (3,760 m) - a circular surveillance structure. We continue to Sayacmarca (3,620 m) "Inaccessible City" with stairways and aqueducts. We explore Phuyupatamarca (3,650 m) "The city above the clouds" with ceremonial channels and fountains. We finish at Wiñayhuayna (2,650 m) "Forever Young" - the most impressive site with infinite terraces. Last campsite before Machu Picchu.
🌅 DAY 4: Sunrise at Machu Picchu - Inti Punku Culmination
Epic dawn: hike to the Inti Punku "Sun Gate" (2,720 m). First magical view of Machu Picchu at sunrise, just as the ancient Incas did. Triumphal entry to the sacred citadel (2,430 m). Full guided tour of sacred temples, astronomical observatories, royal enclosures, and agricultural terraces. UNESCO World Heritage and Modern World Wonder. Return to Cusco by train and bus.
