In this tour, we will explore a unique natural and cultural place, surrounded by bodies of water, cultivation areas, and sacred huacas. We will walk along a section of the ancient Qhapaq Ñan, the great Inca road that connected Cusco with the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, and that extended from Colombia to Argentina.
The hike to Inkilltambo is ideal for acclimatizing to the altitude, as it is mostly flat and accessible, allowing you to enjoy impressive landscapes, Inca constructions, and the rich history of the Inca Empire in a light trek of less than a day.
We will also visit the Machu Choquequirao Archaeological Park, a sacred site with well-preserved agricultural, ceremonial, and urban sectors, where carved stone blocks and a double door attached to a rock stand out, with views of the Cachimayo River.
Finally, after exploring these historical places, we will return along a picturesque path to Kari Grande, where our transport will be ready to take you back to your accommodation.
