Highlighted Sites of the Tour Places and experiences
- 📍 Azulcocha (4,500 m a.s.l.)
The first stop of the tour. This lagoon stands out for its deep dark blue color, which gives the feeling of a natural mirror nestled between mountains.
- 📍 Otorongo - "jaguar"
This lagoon has a peculiar shape that recalls the silhouette of an otorongo (Andean jaguar). The environment is more rocky and wild.
- 📍 Pucacocha - "red lagoon"
The name comes from the reddish tone of the mountains that surround it, and that at certain times of the day are reflected in the water.
- 📍 Alqacocha - "gray lagoon"
One of the quietest lagoons on the tour. It has a bluish-gray color that stands out due to the presence of sedimented minerals.
- 📍 Q'omercocha - "green lagoon"
This lagoon impresses with its intense emerald green color, a product of the presence of algae and aquatic vegetation in its waters.
- 📍 Orqo Otorongo - "male otorongo"
It is the largest of the set. Its environment is rocky and surrounded by typical high-altitude vegetation. From here, you can appreciate an impressive panoramic view of the snow-capped Ausangate.
- 📍 China Otorongo - "female otorongo"
Located very close to Orqo Otorongo, this lagoon complements the landscape with its serene beauty. Its color changes throughout the day, going from deep blue to dark green depending on the sunlight.
