The Cusco, Machu Picchu and Puno 6 days / 5 nights program is the best option to discover the most impressive destinations in southern Peru in a single trip. Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and City Tour Start
Reception at Cusco airport and transfer to hotel: Our team will wait for you at Cusco airport to comfortably take you to your hotel. Acclimatization time: Free morning to adapt to the altitude and rest. City Tour start (approx. 13:00 hrs): Guided tour of the city and nearby archaeological sites. Cusco Cathedral: Magnificent colonial work with important paintings from the Cusco School. Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun: Ancient Inca ceremonial center showing the fusion between Inca and colonial architecture. Sacsayhuamán: Impressive fortress with megalithic walls. Qenqo: Ceremonial center dedicated to rituals and sacrifices. Puka Pukara: Ancient control and defense fortress. Tambomachay: Known as the "Inca Baths", associated with the cult of water. Return to Cusco (approx. 18:00 hrs): End of the tour in the Plaza de Armas. Accommodation in Cusco.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes Sacred Valley
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Pisac (approx. 07:30 hrs): Visit to the archaeological site and its famous artisan market. Buffet lunch in Urubamba: Tasting of local gastronomy in the heart of the Sacred Valley. Ollantaytambo Fortress: Tour of one of the most important Inca military, agricultural and religious complexes. Train journey to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). Reception and transfer to hotel in Aguas Calientes. Accommodation in Aguas Calientes.
Day 3: Machu Picchu – Cusco Machu Picchu
Early breakfast at the hotel. Bus ascent to Machu Picchu. Guided visit to the citadel (approx. 2 hrs): Tour of the main sectors of the wonder of the world. Sun Temple, Main Plaza, Intihuatana, Agricultural terraces and urban sector. Free time accompanied by the guide: Space to take photos and admire the landscape. Descent to Aguas Calientes. Optional activity: Enjoy the hot springs or explore the town. Train to Ollantaytambo and bus to Cusco. Accommodation in Cusco.
Day 4: Sun Route – Cusco to Puno Sun Route
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Puno in tourist bus (approx. 07:30 hrs). Andahuaylillas Church: Known as the "Sistine Chapel of America" for its baroque art. Raqchi Temple: Sanctuary dedicated to the god Wiracocha, with impressive adobe walls. Buffet lunch in Sicuani (approx. 12:10 hrs). Abra La Raya (4,335 m.a.s.l.): Natural border between Cusco and Puno, with spectacular views of the Andes. Pukara Museum: Important archaeological site of the Pukara culture. Arrival in Puno (approx. 17:00 hrs) and transfer to hotel. Accommodation in Puno.
Day 5: Uros and Taquile Islands – Lake Titicaca Lake Titicaca
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Puno port (06:40 hrs). Floating islands of the Uros: Boat navigation and guided visit to these unique islands built with totora. Taquile Island: 45-minute walk to the town to learn about its textile heritage recognized as Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Typical lunch in Taquile with local products. Return to Puno by boat (approx. 16:30 hrs). Free afternoon to rest or explore the city of Puno. Accommodation in Puno.
Day 6: Puno – Juliaca – Return End
